Larissa Melo Pienkowski (she/ela/ella) is a queer Latina birth and postpartum doula based in Philadelphia, PA. Her practice is rooted in the beliefs that birth has the power to heal ancestral trauma, that birthing people hold innate wisdom in their bodies, that community care is self-care, and that we all deserve safe, affirming, size-inclusive healthcare.
As a birthworker, Larissa offers a compassionate and comforting presence, intuitive and evidence-based information, physical support, fierce advocacy, and an inclusive, safe space for birthing people to move through pregnancy and labor peacefully and confidently.
Larissa loves to cook, read, journal, play volleyball, do Pilates, and make pottery, and she's passionate about weaving mindfulness, movement, and postpartum nourishment into birthwork in ways that reject diet culture and toxic positivity and instead uplift radiant, full-body joy. She lives with her wife and their Siberian husky, Olaf.
Larissa fala português também e adoraria trabalhar com famílias brasileiras. 🇧🇷
